Kim Hunt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, knew that she wanted to add a new pet for her family and that she wanted to adopt a shelter pet. So she started her search using the Internet and looked at the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake website. There she saw an adorable 2 year old female Carin Terrier Mix called Snowflake looking directly into the camera with the most beautiful brown eyes. Kim thought this could be the dog that she wanted to adopt. She sent her son-in-law who lives in Grove, OK, to the Humane Society animal shelter to check out the dog. He reported to Kim that she should definitely come see this sweet dog called Snowflake.
Snowflake had been abandoned at a nearby veterinary clinic who had contacted the Humane Society for help. You have to wonder why a dog is abandoned. Could it be because the animal has behavior issues or bad habits? Kim needed to see this terrier mix for herself to see if Snowflake could be the right dog for her family. She and her granddaughter headed out on an adventure to Grove.
Kim immediately fell in love with the sweet tempered, brown eyed beauty and adopted her that day to take her home to Tulsa to meet her husband Jeff. Snowball has been renamed "Millie." Her new parents sent an e-mail to the Humane Society to report: "She is an absolute angel from heaven! We can't even begin to tell you the joy she has brought to our home. She is about the sweetest dog we've ever been around. Thank God for the Internet and websites like yours. Thank you for caring for her and holding her for us!"
